Abandoning Nintendo after GameCube... that was a smart choice imo.
NES, GB, SNES, GBA, GameCube, DS... all GREAT systems.
For me it went downhill after that with Wii being complete garbage, 3DS being disappointing despite a few great games, Wii U having pretty much no support despite being home to (by far) the best Mario Kart game.
Admittedly I don't regret buying my Wii U, but only because my fiancee and I have had so much fun playing Mario ...
I was so ready to hate on this console after the Wii and Wii U being my least favourite consoles (especially hated the Wii). My only good recent memories of Nintendo are Mario Kart 8, Animal Crossing: Wild World and New Leaf.
...but to be honest, despite my concerns, I actually really want one.

I'm very impressed, but if it's not on par with the current gen for power, then I'll probably skip it.
I love the Dualshock stick placement.
After using the Dualshock 4, I never want to use another controller.
Apart from it's average battery life, this controller is perfect imo.
If this is as powerful as PS4, has a trophy/achievement system & has ongoing 3rd party support... COUNT ME IN!

I don't care about 4K, but if these patch releases start showing obvious frame rate improvements then count me in for a PS4 Pro.
Definitely hoping for any of these to get a frame rate increase (if possible)...

I always laugh when people try to make a case for Path of Exile. IMO that game is complete rubbish, especially next to a masterpiece like Reaper of Souls.
Diablo III: Reaper of Souls on PS4 is one of my favourite games of all time.
I've poured several thousands of hours into the game after spending about a thousand hours on the PC version and to this day it still remains my "comfort food" of gaming.

I get what you're saying and I agree to an extent, but if I'm being honest, I probably wouldn't even be considering this game if it wasn't for some of the recent hype.
